Soil & Aggregate Technician

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct soil, aggregate, and construction materials testing in field and laboratory settings.
• Perform soil tests including moisture content, density, compaction, sieve analysis, and Atterberg limits.
• Perform aggregate tests including gradation, specific gravity, absorption, abrasion, and soundness.
• Collect, prepare, identify, and store samples according to approved procedures.
• Operate, maintain, and calibrate field and laboratory testing equipment.
• Record, calculate, analyze, and report results while maintaining required records.
• Identify non-compliant materials or test results and report findings.
• Follow quality, health, safety, and environmental procedures.

Requirements

• At least five years of relevant soil and aggregate testing experience.
• Diploma or technical qualification in Civil Engineering, Materials Testing, Laboratory Technology, or a related field.
• Strong practical knowledge of soil and aggregate testing procedures.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory and field testing equipment.
• Ability to accurately record, calculate, and interpret test results.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and within a technical team.
• Knowledge of ASTM, AASHTO, and BS standards is preferred.
• Qatar or GCC experience is an advantage.

Pay

• Pay is QAR 2,500 to QAR 3,000 per month.

Workplace

• Work location is in person.
