Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage teams of 20+ engineers specializing in Python, JavaScript, Java, and other languages to execute technical tasks efficiently.
• Oversee the development and delivery of supervised fine-tuning (SFT) datasets for large language models with a focus on quality and scalability.
• Direct reinforcement learning from human feedback (RLHF) initiatives to enhance model performance and alignment with human intent.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SFT and RLHF workflows into end-to-end AI training pipelines.
• Monitor throughput, cost efficiency, and dataset quality metrics to ensure alignment with project goals and business objectives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; advanced degrees preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proven track record managing teams that develop and deploy machine learning models, particularly in supervised learning or reinforcement learning contexts.
• Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in JavaScript, Java, or other long-tail programming languages relevant to backend development.
• Experience with data pipeline design, dataset curation, and evaluation frameworks for LLM training and fine-tuning.
• Familiarity with tools and platforms used in AI model training, such as distributed computing frameworks and version control systems.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, research-driven environment with a focus on iterative improvement and measurable outcomes.
