Software Engineering Interns at First Databank will have the opportunity to gain experience and demonstrate aptitude across a variety of real-world projects.
Interns typically rotate between three or more projects during their time at FDB, where each project requires skill in a different area.
AI-assisted development is an integral part of FDB’s engineering process.
Software engineers leverage modern AI coding tools and agents (such as Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, and similar technologies) to design, build, test, and troubleshoot software more effectively.
Interns will be expected to actively incorporate AI tools into their development workflow.
Prior experience using AI coding assistants or agents in academic, personal, or professional projects is strongly preferred.
This internship will be located in the Carmel, IN office.
Typical projects may include work in the following areas:
SDK development
Database Development, both RDMS and NoSQL
Trouble Shooting / Bug Fixes / Unit Testing
Completion of Junior year
