Software Engineering Intern - Backend

We’re looking for a software engineering intern who is strong in coding, problem-solving, and reasoning—and who enjoys learning new tools and systems from first principles .

This role is ideal for someone who likes to understand why things work, not just how .

You’ll work closely with senior engineers on real production systems —writing code that ships, debugging real issues, and learning how modern software systems are built and operated.

• Designing and implementing backend features and services
• Writing clean, well-structured, and testable code
• Debugging complex issues and reasoning through system behavior
• Reading and understanding existing codebases and improving them
• Learning new tools, frameworks, and infrastructure as needed
• (Optional/Bonus) Exposure to cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, CI/CD, or distributed systems

• Strong coding fundamentals (any language is fine: Go, Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, etc.)
• Excellent reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable breaking down ambiguous problems into clear steps
• Curious mindset and willingness to learn unfamiliar tools and concepts
• Ability to explain your thinking clearly (in writing and verbally)
• Not afraid to read docs, experiment, and figure things out independently

• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure)
• Familiarity with Linux, Docker, or Kubernetes
