Role overview
Software Engineer working for a Haystack partner to modernize air traffic control systems.
The role improves availability and performance for a critical national infrastructure platform.
Responsibilities
- Support upgrades across hardware, software, operating systems, firmware, security, and related services.
- Develop and maintain air traffic control software using Ada95 and C++ on UNIX/Linux.
- Use KSH, Perl, and Python for automation and system enhancements.
- Coordinate solutions with systems engineering and develop new capabilities.
- Contribute to common services used by application teams.
Requirements and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
- Demonstrated software development skills and capabilities.
- Proficiency in debugging and problem-solving.
- Flexibility to work across multiple software languages.
- 4–8 years of professional experience in a computer science-related role.
- Strong desire to learn and improve technical capabilities.
Compensation
- The stated annual salary range is $87,100–$157,450, with potential bonuses.
