Normal Computing is an applied AI company working on hardware and software for semiconductors, AI infrastructure, and systems engineering.

The company operates across New York City, San Francisco, London, Copenhagen, and Pangyo.

The engineer will own Normal CLI as a product for AI-assisted semiconductor verification.

Normal CLI is a Python and Textual terminal application used in remote workstations, SSH sessions, tmux, Windows, and WSL environments.

The role focuses on interaction design, information architecture, the local session client, and the client API.

Own terminal interactions for commands, navigation, input, streamed output, progress, review, interruption, recovery, empty states, and errors.
Ensure cross-platform behavior across terminals, shells, multiplexers, remote sessions, operating systems, and non-English input.
Shape the local session client and structured-event interface so the UI can represent runtime intent clearly.
Define reusable interaction patterns and maintain a coherent product across terminal, desktop, web, and agent surfaces.
Build responsive streaming, cancellation, concurrency, persistence, and recovery behavior for long-running work.
