Epassi is hiring a mid-level Software Engineer focused on React Native mobile application development.
The engineer will join a cross-functional product team and strengthen mobile engineering capacity.

Responsibilities
- Build and maintain React Native features from implementation through testing and release.
- Write clean, testable, well-structured TypeScript code.
- Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs and handle asynchronous data flows, loading states, and errors.
- Review code and provide constructive feedback to peers.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Designers to refine requirements and make technical decisions.
- Debug development and production issues and communicate root causes and fixes.
- Contribute to architecture discussions and propose improvements within owned feature areas.
- Participate in agile planning, refinements, reviews, and retrospectives, and document technical decisions.
Required experience and skills
- 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience are required.
- At least 1 year of professional React Native or mobile development experience is required.
- Solid production React Native and TypeScript experience is required, including functional components, hooks, and the React component lifecycle.
- Working knowledge of at least one state management approach, such as Redux Toolkit, Context API, or Zustand, is required.
- Experience with React Navigation and multi-screen stack, tab, and drawer patterns is required.
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data flows is required.
- Familiarity with Jest and React Native Testing Library is required.
- Understanding of iOS and Android platform differences and platform-specific debugging is required.
- Confident Git use, including branching, pull requests, and merge conflict resolution, is required.
- Awareness of build and release pipelines is required.
Preferred skills
- E2E testing experience is a plus.
- Experience with Fastlane, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions is a plus.
- Familiarity with AI coding tools such as Copilot or Cursor is a plus.
Location eligibility
- The role can be based in Finland, Germany, Sweden, Poland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Spain, or Italy.
- Finland or Germany is the preferred location.
