Role Overview
Fiscal.ai is hiring a Software Engineer focused on quality for its financial research Terminal.
This is an engineering role responsible for reproducing bugs, tracing root causes across the stack, shipping fixes, and building automated regression coverage.
The salary is $100,000 to $220,000 plus equity options.
Location and Work Style
- The role is remote with occasional in-person work at the company's co-working space in downtown Toronto.
- Candidates must be based in Canada.
What You Will Do
- Own, reproduce, prioritize, fix, or route the Terminal's inbound bug pipeline.
- Fix frontend, backend, and data-layer defects and investigate them to root cause.
- Build a Playwright end-to-end test framework, run it in CI against preview deployments, and expand regression coverage.
- Write unit and integration tests alongside fixes.
- Create debugging guides, test conventions, and shared engineering tooling.
Requirements
- Write production code and fix discovered issues directly.
