Role Scope
Contribute to the development, testing, and maintenance of Blue Yonder’s cloud-native Supply Chain Data Platform.
Work with senior engineers to build scalable microservices, implement features, resolve defects, and improve product quality.
Technical Environment
- The environment includes Python, Numpy, Gradle, Git, Hibernate, REST APIs, OAuth, and scalable event-driven microservices.
- The cloud environment includes Microsoft Azure services such as ARM templates, AKS, HDInsight, Application Gateway, Virtual Networks, Event Hub, and Azure AD.
- Additional technologies include Snowflake, MS SQL, GitHub Actions, and related cloud and deployment tooling.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop quality software and effective test code according to clean-code principles and team standards.
- Contribute to backlog prioritization, planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Translate business requirements into user stories and participate in story design with lead developers and architects.
- Triage issues, identify root causes, fix defects, and improve service reliability.
- Coordinate with operating teams, train them on new features, and provide implementation documentation.
- Plan complex changes, manage stakeholder expectations, and communicate impediments.
- Replace service requests with self-service functionality and automation where possible.
