Role overview
The Platform team builds and maintains backend services for payments, analytics, subscriptions, new products, text-to-speech, and external APIs.
This is a key platform role for someone who thinks strategically, contributes to product decisions, and builds user-focused solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain public and internal APIs, including payment, subscription, authentication, and consumption-tracking services.
- Ensure APIs meet business and scalability requirements.
- Oversee the backend API landscape and improve performance and maintainability.
- Collaborate on B2B solutions focused on enterprise customization and integrations.
- Align backend architecture with product strategy and user experience through cross-functional collaboration.
Candidate requirements
- Proven backend development experience with TypeScript and Node.js is required.
- Direct Google Cloud Platform experience is required.
- Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or another cloud provider is required.
- Ability to prioritize ideation and implementation based on urgency and impact.
- Docker and containerized deployment experience is preferred.
- Proficiency deploying highly available applications on Kubernetes is preferred.
