Design, implement, and improve performant C++ systems that process and organize data from multiple hardware sources
Design, implement, and improve algorithms for deriving insights on chemical data using a broad array of state-of-the-art deep learning methods.
Rapidly develop system prototypes to evaluate feasibility
Strong end-to-end ownership of the software infrastructure
Build scalable data pipelines for training AI
Work effectively with cross-functional teams of engineers, scientists, and domain experts

Work with collaborators across X and Alphabet (e.g. Google, DeepMind, Cloud, , etc.) to apply, modify, and develop new ideas, techniques, algorithms, and tools as needed.
MS/PhD in Computer Science or demonstrable practical experience in the field
3-5 years experience writing software that interacts with a variety of asynchronous hardware sensors
Experience building data management platforms in C++
Experience in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of deep learning model building, validation, and optimization
Experience building and managing scalable data pipelines and backend integrations
Fluency with C++, Python, and Linux
Experience with Google Cloud Platform tools like Dataflow and VertexAI
An understanding of multispectral imaging and/or spectroscopy
A passion for solving the problems of plastic waste and circular economy of materials
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000 - $244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
