Role Overview
Contribute to a cross-functional engineering squad building secure, scalable, and high-quality software.
Support an AI-first engineering strategy by implementing AI capabilities, cloud-native services, and intelligent agent patterns.
Work with senior engineers, the engineering team leader, the architect, and product owners to deliver reliable software.
Software Development and Delivery
- Design, build, test, and maintain software components and services across backend, frontend, or full-stack environments.
- Use AI-accelerated development tools across the software development lifecycle.
- Write clean, maintainable, secure code following engineering standards and lifecycle best practices.
- Participate in backlog refinement, sprint planning, story estimation, and team ceremonies.
AI Integration
- Embed AI thinking into product design and delivery and support AI enablement initiatives.
- Use vector databases, embeddings, and retrieval pipelines with support from senior engineers.
- Build tests and evaluation checks for AI behaviors and outputs.
- Follow architectural guidance to keep AI features safe, secure, and reliable.
Quality and Secure Development
- Create automated unit, integration, and functional tests.
- Apply secure-by-design principles and participate in threat modeling where appropriate.
- Contribute to code reviews and continuous improvement of code quality.
- Maintain documentation for services, features, and reusable components.
Cloud and DevOps
- Deploy and maintain services using CI/CD pipelines.
- Instrument code for observability, logging, and performance insights.
- Participate in incident resolution and root-cause analysis.
- Follow cloud development best practices across AWS or Azure environments.
Collaboration
- Work with senior engineers and the engineering team leader to confirm technical designs and implementation details.
- Collaborate with product owners to understand requirements and propose feasible approaches.
- Communicate progress, blockers, and technical details clearly within the squad.
- Participate in continuous improvement and share learnings with peers.
Skills and Experience
- Experience as a software engineer in modern cloud-native environments.
- Strong development skills in C#, Node.js, React.js, Vue.js, PHP, or .NET.
- Understanding of AI-first development and deployment processes.
- Experience building REST APIs, microservices, or modern frontend applications.
- Good understanding of secure coding, testing strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with vector databases, embeddings, prompt engineering, LLM APIs, or AI-enhanced features and agents.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or serverless cloud platforms.
- Interest in distributed systems, event-driven architectures, or domain-driven design concepts.
- Familiarity with observability tooling and debugging complex systems.
