Role Overview
Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Software Engineer - Java Middle Layer.
The role supports the Software Engineering organization onsite in San Diego, California.
The position involves diverse assignments in collaborative software engineering teams.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Systems Engineering, Cloud and Application, Test Automation, DevSecOps, and Systems Test teams.
- Participate in prototyping, graphical user interface design, implementation, and build, test, and release delivery.
- Develop enterprise Java solutions in a service-oriented architecture environment.
- Apply object-oriented programming, design patterns, JMS, Web Services, XML, XPath, XSLT, and XSD.
- Work across the software development lifecycle in a process-oriented environment.
- Collaborate regularly with team members.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM and 2 years of related engineering experience, or a master’s degree in STEM with entry-level related engineering experience.
- Experience with the full software development lifecycle, Agile development, integration, and testing.
- Experience with Java, C, C++, and Python.
- Experience with two of Jira, GitLab, Docker, Fortify, Coverity, or Black Duck.
