About the Company
Valon is building an AI-native operating system for regulated finance, beginning with mortgage servicing.
The company operates its own mortgage servicing business and is developing ValonOS as a unified, programmable platform.
Valon has offices in New York City and San Francisco.
Engineering at Valon
The engineering team builds software for a complex and highly regulated mortgage industry.
The technology stack includes Python, React, Docker, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform.
Engineers work with autonomy on systems that operate at significant scale.
Responsibilities
- Learn new concepts and technologies quickly and apply them to challenging problems.
- Design and build robust, extensible infrastructure for evolving federal, state, and agency regulations.
- Develop a deep understanding of a complex regulated industry.
- Work with Product and Design to define the best customer experience.
Ideal Background
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Demonstrate exceptional programming and design skills.
- Build quality software applications at scale while balancing product and technical requirements.
- Work cross-functionally to build scalable systems from scratch with a fast turnaround.
- Communicate effectively in a collaborative, complex, and highly technical team environment.
