About the role
Work on projects across Stripe's technology stack that directly impact millions of businesses.
Own problems end to end with support from an intern manager and engineering teammates.
Contribute to production systems across areas such as payments, fraud controls, payouts, pricing, and checkout.
Responsibilities
- Participate in team discussions, decisions, and technical design processes.
- Write production software with meaningful business and user impact.
- Give and receive feedback through code reviews and design discussions.
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Learn unfamiliar systems, communicate progress, and use current AI tooling.
Minimum requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Programming experience through side projects or coursework.
- Previous internship or multi-person project experience, including open source contributions, demonstrating feedback skills.
- Ability to learn unfamiliar systems through independent research and mentorship.
- Ability to use AI tools while applying critical thinking and professional judgment.
