Job Overview

Software engineering opportunity within JPMorganChase’s Trust & Security organization in the Consumer & Community Banking line of business.

The role contributes to secure, stable, and scalable technology products in an agile team.

The position involves designing, developing, and troubleshooting multiple software components while continuing to build engineering skills.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting across multiple components.
  • Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
  • Use enterprise-authorized AI coding assistance to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity.
  • Validate AI-assisted outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
  • Apply Software Development Life Cycle tools, AI-assisted development, and automation capabilities.
  • Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure design constraints are met in software code.
  • Gather, analyze, synthesize, and visualize large and diverse data sets to support continuous improvement.
  • Identify hidden problems and patterns in data and use insights to improve coding hygiene and system architecture.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment.
  • Experience with modern programming languages and database querying languages.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools.
  • Ability to evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
  • Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle.
  • Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Familiarity with modern front-end technologies.
  • AWS certification, including Solutions Architect or Developer certifications, is preferred.
  • Exposure to cloud technologies is preferred.
