Software Engineer III

Position Overview

Responsibilities

• Analyze and design customer solutions using industry practices, established patterns, and recommended design patterns.
• Implement designs using Pearson coding standards and maintain mission-critical applications.
• Participate in requirements, design, code, and test case reviews.
• Collaborate with QA, configuration management, end users, and other teams to release high-quality software.
• Create automated unit, integration, and functional tests for testable code.
• Participate in process and product quality improvement initiatives.
• Complete project documentation covering status, risk, progress, and effort.
• Mentor and train new team members and collaborate across teams.

Required Education and Experience

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent science is preferred, but combined experience and skills will be considered.
• 3+ years of experience developing Windows solutions using Microsoft technologies.
• 3+ years of .NET development experience with C#.
