Position Overview
The Software Engineer will perform analysis, design, implementation, and automated testing in a high-performing, experienced team.
The role produces full-stack solutions in an agile, results-driven environment and supports mission-critical applications.
The position involves complex projects and continuous improvement across people, process, and technology.
Core Responsibilities
- Analyze and design customer requirements using industry practices, tools, and design patterns.
- Implement designs according to Pearson coding standards and industry best practices.
- Maintain and support mission-critical applications.
- Participate in and lead requirements, design, code, and test case reviews.
- Work with QA, configuration management, and end users to release high-quality software.
- Create testable code and automated unit, integration, and functional tests.
- Participate in process and product quality improvement initiatives.
- Complete project documentation, including status, risk, progress, and effort reporting.
- Mentor and train new team members and collaborate within and outside the team.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
