Role overview
JPMorganChase is expanding Chase UK as a digital banking business serving customers in the UK and Europe.
The Software Engineer III will join the International Consumer Bank and contribute to products including payments, lending, onboarding, fraud prevention, and core banking.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to end-to-end cloud-native microservices solutions.
- Use domain modelling to build business products.
- Create software that is understandable, testable, and easy to evolve.
- Build scalable architectures without single points of failure.
- Develop secure code and investigate issues to prevent recurrence.
- Deliver zero-downtime releases and optimize data access.
- Monitor performance and ensure systems are reliable and operable.
- Support products through production and incident management.
Required qualifications
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts with applied experience.
- Recent hands-on professional experience as a backend software engineer.
- Experience coding in a recent version of Java.
- Experience designing and implementing multiple types of software tests.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
