J.P. Morgan Personal Investing provides investment products and digital wealth management services to UK investors.
The Android Engineer will advance the Nutmeg mobile platform through architecture improvements, migration, modularisation, and feature delivery.
Job responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and sound engineering practices.
- Apply SOLID principles, design patterns, and architecture approaches to deliver scalable solutions.
- Lead and participate in migration to MVVM and Hilt.
- Modularise and abstract the application to support white-labelling solutions.
- Collaborate with iOS engineers, backend engineers, and other cross-functional teams.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and UI tests.
- Implement and support CI/CD pipelines.
- Stay current with Android trends and share insights with the team.
- Integrate Google Pay, Google Assistant, and Android Widgets.
- Ensure application performance, reliability, and a crash-free user experience.
- Communicate effectively and solve problems proactively.
Required qualifications and skills
- Proficiency with Kotlin, Android SDK, and Android Studio.
