Role overview
The Software Engineer II joins AMA’s Health Solutions team in Chicago.
The role develops intelligent software solutions for AMA’s CPT Suite products using modern software engineering and AI-enabled technologies.
The position follows enterprise review and approval processes and collaborates with IT, OGC, and Risk Management.
Workplace
- This is a hybrid position reporting to the AMA’s Chicago office three days per week.
AI application development
- Develop AI-powered applications with LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain.
- Implement agent-based workflows, reasoning pipelines, and tool integrations.
- Develop and optimize prompts for model quality and reliability.
- Build RAG pipelines using vector databases.
- Evaluate and prototype emerging AI development tools and frameworks.
Software development
- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications and services.
- Design data pipelines integrating vector, relational, and/or graph databases.
