Microsoft Silicon and Cloud Hardware Infrastructure Engineering delivers infrastructure technologies supporting Microsoft online services and Azure.
The Hardware Diagnostic Engineering team develops diagnostic software for server and rack infrastructure components deployed in cloud data centers.
The role focuses on software diagnostics, validation, and servicing support for cloud infrastructure hardware.
Responsibilities
- Test and validate hardware diagnostic modules for servers and infrastructure components deployed in Microsoft Cloud Data Centers.
- Develop software and test automation scripts to support validation.
- Develop code in C, C++, PowerShell, C#, Python, Perl, or Bash across Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Test tools integrated into diagnostic workflows for hardware fault detection, mitigation, and correction.
- Collaborate with Microsoft teams, server ODMs, OEMs, and component vendors.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on coding and scripting experience using C, C++, or C# in Windows Server or Linux environments.
- 3+ years of experience solving hardware and software problems in PC, enterprise server, or cloud server environments.
