Fitch Ratings is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Software Engineer at Associate Director level for its global Ratings Technology team in Toronto.
The role builds mission-critical applications supporting analyst workflows, analytics, and decision-making across Fitch Ratings.
Work location
- The role is based in Toronto, London, or Manchester with hybrid flexibility.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, and modern development practices.
- Build scalable backend services and APIs for business-critical workflows and data-driven applications.
- Develop frontend experiences using React, TypeScript, and modern web technologies.
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to define solutions and deliver software.
- Contribute to architecture and technical design with focus on scalability, security, maintainability, and performance.
- Support code reviews, testing, documentation, CI/CD automation, and engineering best practices.
- Implement AI-powered capabilities, including LLM-based features, where they create business value.
