Role overview
Join IMC's Development Platform team to build tools, infrastructure, and processes that improve software development across trading, research, and engineering teams.
The team supports codebases in Python, C++, and Java and aims to reduce development friction and accelerate delivery.
Core responsibilities
- Improve software development workflows through targeted refinements and architectural redesigns.
- Scale and advance trading-system builds and development tooling.
- Optimize compile times, improve code quality systems, and simplify software processes.
- Troubleshoot build infrastructure issues and implement improvements.
- Design and build infrastructure for development, build, test, and release processes.
- Partner with development teams to align platform capabilities with evolving needs.
- Drive adoption of code health, development productivity, and maintainability best practices.
Skills and experience
- At least 3 years of software development experience in Python, Java, and/or C++ is required.
- Knowledge of stable, dependable build environments and rapid feedback cycles is required.
- Prior experience with Bazel or other monorepo build software is required.
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, TeamCity, or GoCD is preferred.
