The Role
Join Neo4j's Kernel team as an experienced backend engineer solving complex computer science problems.
Work on the core of a graph database, including storage engines, transaction handling, indexes, data import, and page cache.
Collaborate with an international engineering team based in Malmö and London.
What You Will Do
- Build and ship new features for the core graph database.
- Write high-quality, testable, and efficient code.
- Contribute to feature discussions and roadmap prioritization.
- Integrate research and technologies into the database core.
- Use dedicated innovation periods to develop product enhancements and integrations.
Required Qualifications
- Experience designing multi-threaded systems and algorithms.
- Deep understanding of system design, data structures, and algorithms.
- Proficiency in Java or a C-style programming language.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of performance profiling and optimization.
- Experience leading and delivering development projects.
- Good communication skills.
