Job Description
Allstate is seeking a Software Developer for its Investment Technology team.
The role builds and maintains trading platforms, financial reporting systems, and data integration solutions for asset management operations.
The position works two days per week at the Chicago Riverpoint office and three days at home.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop automation scripts using Python, SAS, Bash, or PowerShell for data processing, reporting, and workflow optimization.
- Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions across Oracle, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.
- Build scalable back-end services with Java Spring Boot and Node.js and responsive front-end interfaces with React.js, HTML, and CSS.
- Develop and integrate REST, SOAP, and JSON-based services.
- Implement testing, refactoring, Git-based collaboration, CI/CD, Kubernetes, security, and cloud deployment practices.
- Partner with business analysts, front-office, operations, and infrastructure teams and troubleshoot production issues.
Qualifications
- Three to six years of hands-on software development experience.
- Strong scripting-language proficiency for automation, data processing, reporting, or analytics.
