Role Overview

MathWorks is seeking a software engineer for the Embedded Coder product team.

The team develops compiler optimization techniques that generate efficient code from MATLAB and Simulink.

Generated code supports large-scale embedded systems used in products across automotive, aerospace, and other industries.

Responsibilities

  • Design innovative algorithms and integrate them into the code-generation environment.
  • Participate in requirements collection, specification writing, coding, testing, and customer support.
  • Master features across Simulink products and work effectively in a large code base.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree and three years of professional work experience, or a master’s degree or equivalent experience, is required.

Additional Qualifications

  • At least two years of practical C++ experience.
  • Knowledge of modern compiler technologies.
  • Strong abstraction and algorithmic skills.
  • Good understanding of object-oriented design principles.
  • Strong communication skills.
