Role overview
DataVisor is hiring a software engineer for its platform engineering team.
The team builds a next-generation machine learning platform for real-time fraud detection and data processing at scale.
The role is remote and full-time in Canada.
What you'll do
- Design and build machine learning systems that process large consumer-service datasets.
- Use unsupervised, supervised, and deep learning to detect fraudulent behavior.
- Build and optimize systems, tools, and validation strategies for new features.
- Help design and build distributed real-time systems and features.
- Build large-scale machine learning pipelines with big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, HBase, and Cassandra.
- Develop systems using real-time streaming technologies such as Kafka and Flink.
Requirements
- 1–5 years of software development experience.
- 1–5 years of experience in Java, Shell, and Python development.
- Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and ORM technologies such as JPA2 and Hibernate is a plus.
- Experience with Cassandra, HBase, Flink, Spark, or Kafka is a plus.
- Experience with the Spring Framework and test-driven development is a plus.
