We’re looking for a Software Engineer to join our platform systems team who will help build and maintain our core Linux platform support. You’ll work on a broad range of low-level engine systems, developing and maintaining the tech that underpins our Linux targets, including SteamOS and exciting new partnerships leveraging Cloud technology.
You’ll be part of an agile team collaborating with other groups across Unity. While this role focuses on Linux, there will be opportunities to contribute to other platforms that Unity supports and develop your skills and knowledge in new areas.
With your help Unity’s platform support will continue to grow and enable developers to reach even bigger audiences!
Developing & maintaining our core Linux platform support
Ensuring stability by investigating and resolving bug reports
Strengthening quality and delivery through automated testing and thoughtful code reviews
Working with Product, Program Management, Engineering and QA teams to bring new engine features to Linux platforms
Proficiency with C++ development and software engineering
Experience developing on Linux desktop distributions
The ability and to debug, diagnose and solve problems throughout a codebase
An understanding of profiling and optimisation methods

This range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position. Beyond base salary, this role may be eligible for equity awards and participation in our company incentive plans (such as annual discretionary bonuses or sales commissions).
