Role Overview
Contract Senior Software Engineer role focused on designing and implementing scalable backend services.
The platform serves global users, and the work includes performance optimization, reliability, and cross-functional delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using modern languages and frameworks.
- Optimize performance for scalability and reliability as the user base grows.
- Define and implement features with product managers, designers, and engineers.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Troubleshoot production issues to minimize downtime and improve user experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in at least one backend language such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience with at least one cloud platform such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Ability to write unit and integration tests.
Compensation
- Contract payout is $50 to $100 per hour.
Workplace
- Remote role with flexibility to work from anywhere.
