The role is for a senior software engineer working on a contract basis.
The engineer will design and implement scalable software solutions for a platform serving global users.
Location and Work Arrangement
- The role is remote and supports work from anywhere.
Compensation
- Payout is $50 to $100 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using modern programming languages and frameworks.
- Optimize system performance for scalability and reliability as the user base grows.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define and implement new features.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code that follows coding standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimize downtime and improve user experience.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Python, Java, or Go.
- Experience with at least one cloud platform such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL database systems.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Ability to write unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
