Role Overview
The backend engineer will build AI research and application systems and help scale a category-defining enterprise product.
The role involves ownership of complex technical problems and close focus on user needs.
What You Will Own
- Architect REST and gRPC APIs with scalable server-side implementations and asynchronous code.
- Design and build infrastructure for crawling, ranking, and retrieval systems.
- Implement secure and compliant software for sensitive data.
- Write robust, readable, maintainable, and testable code.
- Raise code quality, reliability, and product velocity through collaboration.
What You Will Need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience with a strongly typed language such as Rust, C++, or Java.
- At least 4 years of experience building and scaling distributed systems.
