About the Role

Responsibilities

• Translate customer review workflows into agent capabilities such as dashboards, analysis scripts, and telemetry insights.
• Design, ship, and operate agentic systems over large-scale time-series data and hardware context.
• Build dependable agent infrastructure, including tools, sandboxed code execution, context and memory management, skills, and guardrails.
• Build distributed systems for real-time streaming, disconnect recovery, and restartable long-running work.
• Schedule, scale, and tear down agent workloads on Kubernetes in cloud and on-premises environments.
• Develop the MCP server and APIs used to query telemetry.
• Build agent evaluation suites and monitor quality, latency, cost, and failure modes.
• Integrate and assess frontier models across providers.

Required Qualifications

• At least 3 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building REST, gRPC, or similar APIs and complex backend services.
• Working knowledge of distributed systems fundamentals.
• Experience with Go, Python, Rust, or similar backend technologies.
• Interest in product ownership, customer conversations, prioritization, and shipping.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience shipping products at scale or shipping LLM-powered features.
• Experience building agentic systems, MCP tool ecosystems, or sandboxed generated-code execution.
• Experience operating production services with Kubernetes, observability, and incident response.
• Experience with streaming or time-series systems such as Kafka, Flink, or TimescaleDB.
• Background in time-series data, scientific computing, hardware testing, telemetry, or internal engineering tooling.

Engineering Technologies

• Web and backend technologies include ECharts, Go, gRPC, PostgreSQL, Protobuf, React, Redux, and TypeScript.
• Data technologies include Arrow, DataFusion, Flink, Parquet, and Rust.
• Infrastructure technologies include Argo CD, AWS, Docker, GitHub Actions, Grafana, Kubernetes, Kustomize, Linux, Prometheus, and Terragrunt.

Location and Work Arrangement

• The headquarters is in Marina del Rey, California, near LAX.
• The team collaborates in person twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays.
• The company holds a full team week every two months and may support relocation to Los Angeles or work from the San Francisco office.

Compensation

• Salary range is $160,000 to $200,000 per year, plus equity and benefits.

Eligibility

• U.S. person eligibility is required for compliance with ITAR and EAR regulations.
