Role Overview
Enveu is seeking a Software Engineer – Android TV with 2–4 years of hands-on Android development experience.
The role requires strong expertise in Android TV and OTT or video streaming applications.
The engineer will build TV applications, integrate media players and streaming protocols, implement DRM, and handle D-pad navigation and focus management.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Android TV applications using Kotlin and Java.
- Build TV-optimized UI using Jetpack Compose for Android TV and/or Leanback.
- Implement D-pad, remote navigation, and focus management.
- Integrate and optimize Media3, ExoPlayer, and other player SDKs.
- Implement HLS/DASH streaming and Widevine DRM.
- Integrate REST APIs and implement Coroutines and Flow.
- Use MVVM or Clean Architecture and Hilt/Dagger for dependency injection.
- Debug and optimize performance across different Android TV devices.
- Collaborate with Product, UI/UX, Backend, QA, and DevOps teams.
- Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution.
What We’re Looking For
- 2–4 years of professional Android development experience.
- Strong hands-on Android TV development experience.
- Good command of Kotlin and Java.
- Experience with OTT, video streaming, or media applications is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of TV navigation, focus handling, media playback, streaming, and DRM.
- Good problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
