Role overview
REA Group is seeking two mid-level Software Engineers for its Commerce Platforms tribe.
The team builds scalable B2B and D2C commerce platforms supporting configuration, pricing, selling, contracting, billing, and payments.
The permanent role is based in Melbourne or Sydney.
What the role involves
- Design and develop scalable platform solutions with cross-functional teams.
- Write maintainable code and comprehensive unit and integration tests.
- Use AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code to improve delivery efficiency.
- Participate in technical design, code reviews, and architecture planning.
- Troubleshoot production and development issues and improve existing codebases.
- Own work from conception through production, including monitoring and maintenance.
- Collaborate with product managers and designers on technical solutions.
- Join on-call rotations and contribute to engineering standards.
What REA is looking for
- At least 3 years of software development experience.
- Strong full-stack skills across front-end, back-end, and data-driven systems.
- Experience with cloud applications and services using AWS or GCP.
