Role Overview
The Azure Data engineering team builds data, analytics, integration, messaging, and business intelligence products.
The Microsoft Fabric Platform team builds and operates the unified foundation for Fabric workloads, including shared infrastructure, governance, security, and a unified data model.
The role contributes to a cloud-enabled intelligence platform for data-first applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, validate, and implement customer-facing user experiences.
- Design and implement secure, performant, resilient, modular platform infrastructure with observability and reliability targets.
- Take end-to-end ownership of deliverables and produce viable solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable backend infrastructure services.
- Build innovative user experiences and automate manual processes.
- Ensure service security, scalability, reliability, and performance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience may include C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
- The Microsoft Cloud Background Check is required upon hire or transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
- A master's degree in computer science or a related technical field is preferred.
- React and/or Angular experience is strongly preferred.
