Role overview
Clio is seeking a Software Development Manager to join its Engineering team.
The manager will support and grow people, drive team execution, collaborate with product and design leadership, and build strong technical solutions.
Development managers are highly technical and hands-on, often coding, designing, and reviewing work alongside their teams.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the product and design triad to understand business challenges, identify opportunities, and craft a team roadmap.
- Work with the team to design technical solutions.
- Give feedback on code reviews and architecture documents to support sound technical decisions.
- Contribute through extensive code reviews and shipping code.
- Support direct reports through regular one-on-one meetings focused on career growth.
- Participate actively in engineering hiring.
- Review code from team members and other developers and provide technical guidance.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated success in people leadership within software development, particularly with large-scale SaaS products.
- Strong hands-on software development background.
