Role overview
Lead a technology team developing payment platforms and applications for Amazon customers.
Support cobranded and private-label credit cards and the Shop with Points rewards catalog.
Develop customer-centric payment products in partnership with business, financial partners, and internal Amazon teams.
Lead a high-performing engineering team and work with product managers, technical program managers, and designers.
Key job responsibilities
- Hire, motivate, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team.
- Directly manage 8 or more engineers and provide career development opportunities.
- Collaborate with product managers and software engineers across Commerce Platform teams.
- Remove blockers and reduce execution risks for organizational goals and customer launches.
- Provide input on operating plans, roadmaps, and strategic discussions.
- Develop long-term program strategy and convert it into an achievable roadmap and action plan.
- Participate deeply in architecture and development of technical designs and approaches.
- Build operational excellence to reduce lead times and maintain critical service operations.
- Manage daily engineering activities within an Agile/Scrum environment.
