Role Overview
Fiserv is seeking a Java Developer for its technology organization in fintech and payments.
The role focuses on scalable Java application development, solution design, production support, and cross-functional delivery.
What You Will Do
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable Java applications.
- Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to solution design.
- Perform hands-on coding, debugging, and troubleshooting of complex technical issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver features on time.
- Implement coding standards, performance optimization, and security best practices.
- Reduce technical debt and improve code quality using tools such as SonarQube and Fortify.
- Support production systems and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Core Technologies
- Java 8 or later.
- Angular 8+ or a similar UI framework such as ReactJS.
- Spring Boot, Quarkus, and ORM frameworks.
- Microservices architecture.
- REST, SOAP, JSON, and XML web services.
- Putty, SOAPUI, and Postman.
- GitLab or similar CI/CD tools.
- Experience with at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Preferred Skills
- SonarQube, Fortify, or WebInspect for code quality and security.
- SOA, microservices, event-driven programming, or hexagonal architecture.
- Maven, Ant, or Gradle build tools.
- JIRA and Confluence for project management and documentation.
