The SDET-II will shape and execute an automation-first quality strategy across web, API, and AI-driven systems.
The role works with Engineering and Product teams to design quality into features and enforce release gates.
What you will do
- Lead and standardize test automation practices across teams and services.
- Build scalable automation frameworks using Playwright and SerenityJS.
- Develop JavaScript or TypeScript automation for web, API, and workflow validation.
- Maintain REST API automation using Postman or equivalent tools.
- Integrate automation into Jenkins or GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines.
- Monitor executions, analyze failures, and drive root-cause resolution.
- Conduct automation code reviews and contribute to metrics and reporting.
- Collaborate on acceptance criteria and risk coverage, and mentor QA and engineering teams.
Required qualifications
- At least 3 years of QA automation or SDET experience.
- Strong Playwright and SerenityJS experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- REST API testing experience using Postman or a similar tool.
- CI/CD automation experience with Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Experience with Cucumber BDD, Git, GitHub, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Exposure to accessibility testing and WCAG principles.
- Experience with desktop automation testing.
- Understanding of regression, integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Additional qualifications
- Experience using AI agents or tools or testing AI-powered features is advantageous.
- Familiarity with visual regression, cross-browser, and performance validation is advantageous.
- Experience with quality dashboards, cloud-native SaaS platforms, or mentoring teams is advantageous.
