Role Overview
StockX is seeking a mid-level Software Development Engineer in Test for its quality engineering team.
The role focuses on finding, analyzing, and reporting defects while ensuring software meets quality standards and system requirements.
The fraud team designs and deploys technology to detect fraud patterns and protect platform users through authentication and authorization controls.
What You Will Do
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to deliver high-quality products.
- Perform functional, regression, and smoke testing on new and existing products.
- Review documentation to define requirements and create test cases and test plans aligned with business needs.
- Execute manual testing across functional, regression, end-to-end, database, and web-services scenarios.
- Drive performance, load, and security testing practices.
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated tests, leveraging AI to keep the suite current.
- Use GitHub best practices and run automated tests in CI/CD pipelines and scheduled jobs.
- Design, document, and implement test strategies, automation, tools, and processes.
About You
- At least 4 years of experience with object-oriented programming languages and techniques, including Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, RDBMS, and REST APIs.
- At least 3 years of experience developing and maintaining backend-focused test automation for web and mobile applications.
- Excellent written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience working in an Agile Scrum QA environment.
- Ability to mentor junior team members.
- Strong curiosity, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to continuous learning.
