Role Overview
StockX is seeking a mid-level Software Development Engineer in Test for its quality engineering team.
The role focuses on finding, analyzing, and reporting defects while ensuring products meet quality standards and system requirements.
The position supports StockX fraud systems that detect fraud patterns and protect user authentication and authorization.
Core Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineers and product managers to deliver high-quality products.
- Perform functional, regression, and smoke testing on new and existing products.
- Review functional and technical documentation to define requirements and create structured test cases and plans.
- Execute manual testing across functional, regression, end-to-end, database, and web-service scenarios.
- Report test results and drive performance, load, and security testing practices.
Automation and Delivery
- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test cases, using AI to keep the test suite current.
- Apply GitHub best practices and work within CI/CD processes.
- Run automated tests in pipelines and on scheduled executions.
- Design, document, and implement test strategies, automation, tools, and processes.
Team Collaboration
- Work with the organizational QA team to build product knowledge, resolve challenges, and share results.
- Mentor junior members of the team.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience with object-oriented programming languages and techniques, including Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, RDBMS, and REST APIs.
- 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining test automation for backend, web, and mobile applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Experience working in an Agile Scrum QA environment.
- Ability to mentor junior members of the team.
