Role overview
Design, develop, deploy, and maintain backend application features.
Work as a key member of the Product and Technology team on moderate-complexity features throughout the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver features aligned with specifications.
- Debug issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Create scalable and reusable code using development best practices.
- Participate in meetings and drive the RFC process.
- Act as the initial on-call responder for managed software.
- Mentor junior engineers and support onboarding.
- Contribute to hiring and continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Expertise in Java, modern frameworks, algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design.
- Experience with distributed architectures, databases, SQL, indexing, migrations, and API integration.
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, version control, testing, CI/CD, containers, secure coding, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
- Proficiency in automation, process optimization, and troubleshooting production issues.
- A proactive approach to mentoring and contributing to team dynamics.
- AI exposure through Kiro or Copilot is mentioned.
