Role summary
The Software Development Engineer II is an established performer who applies software engineering principles to business contexts.
The role leads small, well-defined projects, supports complex projects, and identifies inefficiencies in existing systems.
Experience and education
- Two or more years of experience with a bachelor's degree, or zero to two years of experience with a master's degree.
- Experience developing software in a team of at least five engineers using agile practices and version control.
- Experience building and maintaining a production software project or product in a public or hybrid cloud environment.
- Strength in one programming language and moderate familiarity with other applicable languages.
- Familiarity with data stores, API access patterns, integration technologies, and the wider technology ecosystem.
- Understanding of moderately complex systems, testing and monitoring tools, application debugging, and business alignment.
