Role overview
Design, develop, deploy, and maintain backend application features.
Work within the Product and Tech Team on moderate-complexity features throughout the software development lifecycle.
Report to the Engineering Manager.
What you will do
- Design, develop, and deliver backend features aligned with technical specifications and business requirements.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Write high-quality, scalable, maintainable, and reusable code using engineering best practices.
- Participate in technical discussions, contribute to design decisions, and drive the RFC process when required.
- Act as the initial on-call responder for managed applications and support system reliability and availability.
- Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing within the team.
- Contribute to technical hiring, interviews, and team-building initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and engineering stakeholders to deliver solutions.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering processes, development practices, and team standards.
- Support onboarding and technical enablement of new team members.
- Use AI-assisted development tools such as Kiro and GitHub Copilot to improve productivity, code quality, troubleshooting, and workflows.
- Stay current with AI capabilities and identify responsible opportunities to integrate AI into software development and delivery.
