About the Team and Role
The Checkout team owns the booking experience across Expedia Group brands, including web checkout, the API layer, and the conversion funnel.
The role builds technology that supports reliable, accessible, intuitive, and efficient travel booking experiences.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality user interface software.
- Translate product requirements into scalable frontend solutions using sound software engineering practices.
- Contribute to low-level system design, API design, data modeling, and technical decisions.
- Collaborate across engineering, product, design, and other technical domains.
- Integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions that improve product and engineering outcomes.
- Participate in code reviews, automated testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
- Strengthen software quality, performance, security, and operational reliability.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience, including user interface applications.
- Experience owning features or components from design and implementation through testing, deployment, and support.
