Role Overview
Develop innovative speech-backed visual experiences for screened Alexa devices, including Echo Show and Echo Spot.
Build customer-facing software for Alexa and other high-profile consumer electronics products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain systems that partner with Amazon services, third-party services, and device teams.
- Deliver low-latency, reliable services at Amazon scale.
- Work across device frameworks, web services, APIs, and large-scale data infrastructure.
- Invent Android-based customer experiences.
- Collaborate with UX and product owners on customer experience and product direction.
- Deliver high-quality software in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Basic Qualifications
- At least 4 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 4 years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including reliability and scaling.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience across the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
