Description
The Alexa Audio team builds audio experiences for music, podcasts, radio, and audiobooks across Alexa-enabled devices and countries.
The role contributes to voice interfaces, scalable API platforms, and generative AI capabilities for Alexa Audio.
The engineer will have independent technical ownership of customer features and supporting architecture.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deliver software for Alexa Audio in ambiguous and complex problem spaces.
- Work with product managers, technical program managers, and senior or principal engineers to deliver Audio Experience business goals.
- Create infrastructure that brings large language model capabilities into the audio domain.
- Create tools and software to evaluate, analyze, and improve model accuracy while reducing latency and customer friction.
- Influence operational and engineering excellence for core audio services, including scaling, availability, resiliency, and peak readiness.
- Provide design and coding feedback on latency, technical decisions, coding standards, quality, and versioning.
- Guide teams on best practices for developing within audio-owned services.
- Mentor junior team members, support onboarding, and participate in interviews and hiring efforts.
- Share knowledge through demos, lunch-and-learns, and organizational communications.
