Description
The Identity and Access Management group protects customer and corporate data across Amazon's worldwide service-oriented architecture.
The team operates a mission-critical security system and develops large-scale data processing, detection, and analytics capabilities.
The Software Development Engineer will build reliable, scalable, and high-performance products across multiple teams and technologies.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate large-scale distributed systems that process security-relevant data with high availability and low latency.
- Own services across architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and operational excellence, including on-call participation.
- Build libraries, integrations, and tooling that simplify platform adoption by engineering teams.
- Design efficient data models, processing pipelines, and query patterns for very large datasets.
- Partner with security, compliance, and service-owning teams to translate requirements into platform capabilities.
- Write design documents, lead reviews, influence technical direction, and mentor other engineers.
- Raise the bar on code quality, security, and operational practices.
