Role Overview

Momentum and Software Engineering

• Lead technical work in a Momentum environment and guide module customization, integration, extension, and troubleshooting.
• Design, develop, and maintain mission-system services and applications using engineering best practices for reliability, maintainability, and performance.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, Momentum subject matter experts, system integrators, and leadership.

Cloud, Containers, and DevSecOps

• Build, deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize applications running in OpenShift with Podman, containers, and orchestration patterns.
• Oversee container image creation and deployment pipelines, and support secure coding practices aligned with DoD requirements.
• Support WebMethods integrations and troubleshoot interfaces between Momentum and other enterprise systems.

Data and Team Leadership

• Work with Oracle, PostgreSQL, or comparable relational databases on data modeling, query tuning, and Momentum data integration.
• Lead, mentor, and develop software developers, conduct code reviews, and reinforce development standards.
• Establish documentation standards, agile rituals, development processes, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement practices.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and seven to ten years of related work experience are typically required.
• At least three years of experience in a technical lead or engineering lead role is required.
• Hands-on Momentum or comparable complex COTS experience, strong Java microservices experience, and OpenShift deployment experience are required.
• GitLab source control and CI/CD experience plus strong Oracle or comparable relational database skills are required.
• Strong prioritization, communication, teamwork, mentoring, and development leadership abilities are required.
• U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance are listed for the role.

Preferred Qualifications

• WebMethods integration experience is a strong plus.
• Experience with container image hardening and deployment, DevSecOps, system administration, platform engineering, DoD software development, shell scripting, automation, or CI/CD pipeline design is advantageous.
• Experience with large COTS upgrades or modernization initiatives is advantageous.

Technology Stack

• Momentum (CGI) 8.x, Java/J2EE, OpenShift, GitLab, Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL, WebMethods, Linux, C#, C++, shell scripting, and DevSecOps are referenced technologies.

Compensation

• The proposed salary range is $103,800 to $218,100, with final compensation influenced by location, contract labor categories, experience, skills, education, and certifications.
